Job title: Lead Window Installer - Brainerd, MN
About the Role Renewal by Andersen is seeking accomplished, driven Lead Installers to ensure a high-quality customer experience when upgrading homes. The Lead Installer manages window and door installations on a single job site, plans materials and resources pre-arrival, verifies measurements before work begins, performs routine to complex installations, and ensures proper job-site shutdown. The role also provides direction and/or training to an Installer in line with Renewal by Andersen guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Lead window and door installations on a single job site, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
- Plan materials and resources before arrival and verify measurements prior to starting work.
- Perform routine to complex window and door installations.
- Manage on-site safety and proper shutdown of the work site.
- Coach and mentor Installers, providing instruction per company guidelines.
- Communicate with homeowners about daily plans and progress; request online reviews when appropriate.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years window installation and remodeling experience (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years managing job sites and leading crews in a construction environment (preferred).
- Ability and willingness to coach and mentor other installers.
- Availability to work when homeowners are in their homes (7 a.m.–7 p.m.).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication with peers and homeowners; ability to handle conflicts tactfully.
- Ability to organize tasks and job requirements; strong attention to detail and accountability.
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills; self-motivation and time/work-process management; ability to work independently.
