About this role
Job title: Lead UX UI Designer
About the Role As a Lead UX UI Designer at OutSystems, you will drive the direction of our design discipline for agentic experiences, partnering with C-suite and senior stakeholders to translate complex business needs into governed Agentic Workflows, and ensuring AI-driven interfaces are trustworthy and user-friendly.
What You'll Do
- Strategic Design Consulting: Partner with C-suite and senior stakeholders to translate complex, often ambiguous business requirements into governed Agentic Workflows; advise on how AI should interact with users to drive ROI.
- Full-Cycle Design: Lead user research, requirements gathering, ideation, user testing and end-to-end UI design for complex enterprise applications.
- Architecting Agentic Interaction Models: Define global rules of engagement for AI agents; establish oversight, explainability, and human-in-the-loop protocols for non-deterministic systems.
- Building the "Design Workbench": Develop agents/workflows that automate manual parts of the design process (e.g., automated visual QA, accessibility audits, UI variation generation from a Design System).
- Advanced Workshop Facilitation: Lead high-impact discovery and strategic alignment workshops; move stakeholders toward an Orchestrator Mindset.
- Design System Governance: Own Agent-Ready standards for our Design Systems; ensure components carry metadata and constraints enabling AI agents to assemble branded interfaces dynamically without breaking the Gold Standard.
- Practice Thought Leadership: Contribute to internal and external design communities; define AX benchmarks and publish reusable patterns.
- Mentorship through Action: Foster growth of junior designers by modeling systemic thinking and guiding them from screen design to designing autonomous logic.

- Technical/Design Skills: Expert-level mastery of Figma and Design System architecture; deep proficiency in Agentic UX patterns, conversational logic, and designing for AI transparency/trust.
- Consulting Skills: Expert negotiation and influence; ability to present complex architectural logic to non-technical executives and gain buy-in for strategic shifts.
- Agentic Orchestration: Proven ability to leverage AI tools to automate design workflows and elevate the team’s efficiency.
