About the Department

We are seeking an experienced Lead Teacher to join our childcare team. This is not an entry-level role; qualified candidates must bring demonstrated experience in early childhood education and classroom leadership. The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing curriculum, managing the classroom environment, and providing guidance and mentorship to assistant teachers to ensure high-quality care and learning outcomes.

This position is located in HCC's Regional Center for the Advancement of Children (RCAC). The Regional Center for the Advancement of Children (RCAC) is a 5-star licensed child care and NC Pre-K facility located on the campus of Haywood Community College. It serves up to 140 children ranging from ages 6 weeks to 5 years old, offering both full-time and part-time care.
