About the Role The Lead, Systems Engineer is a senior professional responsible for leading systems engineering activities, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, and interfacing with customers and vendors to deliver flight-test instrumentation and related subsystems (Underwater Acoustics, Telemetry, Communications, Data Recording, and Radar). This role focuses on MBSE and end-to-end system design, integration, and assurance, with direct impact on program success. What You'll Do
- Support digital engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Generate requirements specifications and functional block diagrams, use-case diagrams, etc.
- Plan and execute integration and test activities, including plans and procedures.
- Interface with mechanical, project, and other engineering disciplines to coordinate system aspects.
- Generate/update drawings, parts lists, Engineering Orders, wiring lists, diagrams, and schematics.
- Generate Engineering Change Orders and prepare design review materials.
- Verify system interfaces and travel as required.
- Influence others to adopt team views, practices, and changes. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of relevant experience; Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years; in lieu of degree, 13 years.
- Active US Secret security clearance.
- 5+ years direct engineering experience.
- 2+ years direct experience with at least one of: Underwater Acoustics, Telemetry, Communications, Data Recording systems, and/or Radar.
- Preferred: Excellent written and oral communication, demonstrated initiative, drive, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with DOORS requirements management software and MBSE.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel. Nice to Have
- Familiarity with MBSE and DOORS.
- Additional MS Office proficiency and familiarity with flight-test instrumentation environments. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range varies by location: California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, DC, Denver, NYC areas: $127,500 - $236,500 per year.
- Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont: $110,500 - $205,500 per year.
