About the Role ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer (Manipulation) to design architecture, decompose requirements, and interface with PLCs and robotic arms for electro-mechanical/robotics systems. You’ll work in a fast-paced, agile environment, applying MBSE methods and collaborating across engineering teams. This onsite role is based in North Reading, MA.
What You'll Do
- Design architecture, decompose requirements, and program PLCs for electro-mechanical/robotics systems
- Develop Concept of Operations, trade studies, behavior diagrams, system architecture, use cases, and Interface Control Documents
- Interface with PLCs and robotic arms; perform SE documentation and modeling using basic tools or MBSE software
- Tailor SE processes to balance effort with product needs; work autonomously in an agile environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to mentorship and career growth opportunities
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field
- 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience with electro-mechanical/robotics; robotics experience is a plus
- Python experience required
- Experience with system documentation including Trade Studies, interface control documents, and ConOps
- Experience with MBSE tools or ability to use basic documentation tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and autonomously
Nice to Have
- EMC/SE documentation experience
- Robotics experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $140,000 - $190,000 per year (Onsite, North Reading, MA)
