About the Role OHB Digital Connect GmbH is seeking a Lead System Architect for Satellite Missions on a permanent basis at the Bremen site. The role focuses on creating system concepts for satellites and mission control, developing architectures for diverse missions, and serving as the central technical interface between customers, project management, and engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Create system concepts for satellite and mission control segments
- Develop architectures for different missions and requirement types (earth observation, environment and situational awareness, satellite-based early warning)
- Act as central technical interface between customers, project management and (sub)system engineers and involved departments
- Derive technical solutions based on customer, mission or project requirements
- Define system and operating scenarios
- Analyze technical interfaces for safe and efficient data flows
- Develop specifications and requirements (partially model-based)
- Implement and realize concepts and architectures in systems together with departments
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree in aerospace engineering, physics or comparable qualification
- Very good knowledge of satellite/space missions with technically grounded understanding of requirements
- Good knowledge in transmission technology and radio communication
- Good knowledge in processing sensor data and data analysis
- Experience with SysEng tools
- Very good German and good English in speaking and writing
- Experience in preparing and presenting technical evaluations
- Analytical and independent working style with responsibility and communication skills
- Willingness to travel
