About this role

About the Role The Lead Sourcing Specialist will join Global Sourcing and Procurement Services to drive strategic sourcing efforts for assigned categories. This role builds collaborative relationships with internal business partners, contract managers and Legal teams, and acts as a trusted advisor to develop and execute category strategies, negotiate key deals, and manage complex sourcing processes in line with AIG policies. What You'll Do

  • Support all aspects of the sourcing processes for assigned categories, including contract negotiations of business and pricing terms, conducting RFx, and collaborating with internal partners to execute negotiation strategies and plans.
  • Standardize contracts, processes and systems (supplier selection criteria, supplier due diligence, performance criteria, and management reporting).
  • Perform cost-benefit and financial analyses, identify quality and continuous improvement opportunities, and drive related initiatives.
  • Manage supplier relationships for PO execution, address problems and schedule changes.
  • Participate in cross-functional sourcing project teams to define requirements, draft contract-related language (SOW, LOAs, RFPs), and reach supplier consensus; translate business needs into contractual terms.
  • Establish strong relationships with business stakeholders, apply sourcing policy, and ensure procurement ethics in alignment with AIG policies.
  • Assess supplier performance to ensure contractual obligations are met and services meet expectations. What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing in IT category (category management, benchmarking, TCO, RFx) or experience as IT Infrastructure manager.
  • Bachelor's Degree; Business English skill (writing and speaking). TOEIC 800+ preferred; Advanced degree in related area (Contracts, Business, or Supply Chain) preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking, technical proficiency, and ability to influence others; excellent written and verbal communication; self-motivated; relationship management; customer-focused; problem-solving mindset.
  • Japanese fluency and business-level English.
  • Willingness to work in-office environment; strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills. Nice to Have
