Job title: Lead Software Development Engineer in Test

About the Role Lead Software Development Engineer in Test is responsible for working with SW QA and SW development teams to develop a platform for test automation. Your Contribution includes developing solutions to automate testing and release engineering; architecting the next evolution of our testing frameworks and libraries; advocating best programming design and testing practices; and building intuitive tools to boost developer and QA productivity. The role also involves automating Android-based CollabOS software/features and the associated test infrastructure/environment.

What You'll Do

• Develop solutions for complex automation needs for testing and release engineering
• Architect and evolve testing frameworks and libraries
• Advocate best design and testing practices; improve productivity with supporting tools
• Actively engage with developer and QA teams to deliver tools that simplify their work
• Automate Android-based CollabOS software/features and its test infrastructure
• Build and maintain test environments; evaluate and implement testing tools per organizational needs
• Collaborate across teams to ensure robust QA coverage and timely releases

What We're Looking For

• 8 to 10 years in software development
• Proficiency in Python; experience with Vue.js / Vuetify
• Experience testing firmware/OS on cameras, drones, Android devices, AV systems
• Proficiency in testing on HDMI, Video quality, Audio quality, USB; debugging on Android, Linux, macOS and Windows
• Strong OO design, data structures and algorithms; coding skills
• Experience with automation tools such as Android UIAutomator, Selenium, Playwright
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to evaluate and adopt testing tools
• Experience in building and running test environments; effective communication and collaboration
• Leadership skills to mentor QA teams; knowledge of software QA industry standards
