Job title: Lead Safety Consultant
About the Role The Lawson Group is seeking a Lead Safety Consultant to help clients identify, assess, and address lead hazards in buildings and workplaces. You’ll conduct risk assessments, oversee lead testing, and guide clients through safe, compliant lead mitigation strategies, including connecting with certified abatement professionals when needed.
What You'll Do
- Conduct lead risk assessments to identify hazards in buildings, including testing painted surfaces, water, and soil for lead.
- Perform lead dust testing in workplaces and translate results into practical, actionable recommendations.
- Plan and coordinate safe, compliant lead paint removal and connect clients with certified abatement professionals when needed.
- Advise on testing programs, controls, and worker protections to keep employees and communities safe.
- Provide clear results and practical next steps to help clients implement effective lead safety measures.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in lead safety, environmental health and safety, or related consulting.
- Knowledge of EPA and OSHA rules related to lead, testing, abatement, and worker protection.
- Ability to coordinate lead testing in paint, water, dust, and soil, and translate results into actionable guidance.
- Certification such as Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or equivalent, or demonstrated collaboration with CIHs and certified professionals.
- Strong client service, communication, and project coordination skills.
