Job title: Lead RN - Surgery (OR) - Ortho Spine - La Jolla
About the Role This is a Full-time Lead OR RN role in the orthopedics spine service line at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla. You will lead operations in the OR, collaborate with Surgeons and CST Leads, and ensure efficient case management and patient care.
What You'll Do
- Work directly with Surgeons for service line needs and collaborate with CST Leads on service-specific needs.
- Lead team education and mentorship with Clinical Mentors; monitor, review, and confirm scheduled cases in EPIC 24 hours prior to scheduled cases.
- Verify equipment needs and coordinate with Charge RNs/Clinical Mentors on daily assignments; participate in on-call shifts with 45-minute callback time.
- Manage OR cases for ortho spine procedures (ALIF, PLIF, ACDF, TLIF, LLIF/XLIF, discectomy, laminectomy, etc.) as part of the ortho spine service line.
- Schedule details: 10-hour day shifts, 3 days/week (0645-1730) and 1 day/week (0645-1630).
- On-site role located at Scripps Green Hospital, La Jolla.
What We're Looking For
- California Registered Nurse License and current BLS provider certification.
- Circulating OR experience with ortho spine procedures; 1 year of recent OR RN experience in an acute care setting.
- English proficiency; ability to speak/read follow instructions.
- CNOR certification and Bachelor's degree preferred; leadership experience is a plus.
- EPIC experience is desirable.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (3+ years nursing experience preferred).
- 2+ years of related OR experience; CNOR certification.
- Leadership experience and EPIC familiarity.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $61.91 - $89.63 per hour (USD).
- Full-time position with benefits; onsite at Scripps Green Hospital.
- Bonus of $4,000 and relocation incentive of $3,000 for eligible new hires.
- On-call requirement with 45-minute callback time.
