About this role
Lead Pyspark Developer will contribute to Luxoft's Surveillance Enhancement Program (SEP), building and enhancing the surveillance platform to detect market misconduct and comply with MAR, MIFID, and Dodd-Frank rules. The role focuses on alerts, data sourcing, UI/workflow improvements, and Control Room & Suitability Monitoring data.
What You'll Do
- Develop software applications based on business requirements
- Maintain and enhance software applications per project specs
- Participate in requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation
- Propose new techniques and technologies for software development
- Perform unit testing and user acceptance testing
- Deliver tasks within deadlines and adhere to coding standards
- Provide guidance to junior developers
- Perform code reviews and propose improvements
- Review business requirements and propose changes
- Develop documentation and technical specifications
- Act as primary contact for development queries
- Analyze and resolve development issues
- Lead development team and collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in data-intensive PySpark development
- Experience leading a development team
- Core Python development with strong OO and exception handling
- Strong knowledge of Pandas/Numpy dataframes, data wrangling, and vector operations
- DB connectivity, data loading, transformation, and calculation
- Experience with concurrency and error handling in data pipelines
- Experience creating/designing RESTful services and APIs
- Proficiency with Git and unit testing
- Familiar with Django, PostgreSQL, Apache Airflow
- Atlassian Jira experience
- Understanding of financial markets asset classes (FX, FI, Equities, Rates, Commodities & Credit) and related systems
- Surveillance domain knowledge (MAR, MIFID, CAT, Dodd Frank) is a plus
