The Lead Project Manager serves as project manager for interior rebranding modifications to Delta's fleet of in-service aircraft, including implementing and maintaining Delta’s brand vision. This position will oversee complex divisional and cross‐divisional initiatives with moderate financial risk and extensive change management requirements to ultimately drive alignment, accountability, issue resolution, and execution across the program. The Lead Project Manager accurately scopes out the cost, length, and difficulty of the task/projects while managing deliverables that are within scope. This position develops mitigation responses and strategies to address project risks and timelines. The lead project manager serves as liaison and main point of contact between the cross‐divisional team members/management requesting the project and all external suppliers. Additionally, the lead project manager plans and measures the program goals and reports statuses and risks to the divisional manager as well as other senior level Officers and Directors. The successful candidate will be responsible for consistently practicing safety‐conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

  • Assembles teams comprised of Engineering, Marketing, Maintenance, Outside Suppliers, Supply Chain, Materials, etc. and allocates cross‐divisional responsibilities to maintain a project schedule
  • Reports expenditures, prepares funding allocations, and justifies cost discrepancies from planned to actual costs
  • Manages development and execution of project deliverables to ensure timely completion
  • Develops both strategic & tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety & well-being
  • Schedules and coordinates the tasks of the highly interdependent deliverables, resources, projects, and initiatives

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field including Engineering, Math, Finance, Business or an A&P Mechanics license
  • Should have a minimum of eight years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time and be willing to work some weekends during times of AOG.
  • Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
  • Proven track record of experience leading large-scale projects with multiple workstreams, milestones, dependencies, risks, budgets, and deliverables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical teams, suppliers, cross-functional stakeholders, and leadership

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Knowledge of or experience with TechOps and Fleet Modifications is preferred.
  • Master's degree and PMP Certification is preferred.
  • Prior experience leading teams is preferred.
