Job Description

As a Lead Project Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective project coordination. Your monitoring of project progress and adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards will help maintain project efficiency and deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery
• Provide technical guidance and support to project team members
• Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders

Qualifications

• YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, engineering, technology, mathematics

• 8+ years of experience in project engineering (or similar role) for programs/projects involving software & electronic products in the areas of optics, RF, and/or robotics

• Willingness to dig into the technical details, learn whatever is needed to be successful, and take ownership and demonstrate accountability for the programs/projects under your control

• Strong leadership and project management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

• Experience in risk management and problem-solving

• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies

• Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget

• Experience/knowledge of optics, optical electronics, optical assemblies, etc.

• Experience with NPI (New Product Introduction)
