Job title: Lead Product Designer - Loom Design
About the Role Lead Product Designer at Loom Design, part of Atlassian, to shape the human and AI-enabled future of work communication. This remote role spans Loom, Jira, and Confluence, guiding cross-product experiences and helping millions of users reduce meeting time. You’ll balance craft with product strategy, and may contribute code and prototypes to accelerate implementation.
What You'll Do
- Elevate design craft: set a high bar for interaction, visual, and motion design across surfaces.
- Guide to mastery: design flows that onboard users of Jira, Confluence, and Loom to async video and maximize value.
- Prototype and ship innovation: partner with Product and Design to rapidly explore, validate, and graduate breakthrough ideas—especially those leveraging AI for video creation.
- Lead with user and business impact: use research and data to identify friction, reduce barriers to recording, and increase shareability and engagement.
- Mentor and inspire: grow the design team’s skills, foster experimentation, and scale learnings across teams.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally: work with PM, Eng, UXR to deliver delightful, high-impact features.
- Champion AI‑first thinking: stay ahead by integrating emerging AI technologies and building Loom’s advantage.
What We're Looking For
- 8–10+ years of experience in Product Design, with leadership of product design for complex, user-facing products (ideally in video, AI, or productivity tools).
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to teams, with a high bar for craft in interaction, visual, and motion design.
- Track record of shipping innovative, user-centered solutions in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
- Prototyping and validation of concepts, especially with emerging technologies; comfortable with experimentation and iteration.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to inspire teams and advocate for users at all levels.
- Curiosity about industry trends and a habit of sharing learnings.
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing code or building technical prototypes; willingness to fix visual issues in PRs.
- Familiarity with working on AI-enabled design workflows.
- Experience coordinating with Jira/Confluence integrations and cross-product teams.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay ranges for new hires in the United States: Zone A: $192,600 - $251,450; Zone B: $173,340 - $226,305; Zone C: $159,858 - $208,704 (USD) per year.
