About this role
Lead Power Electronics EMC Engineer responsible for designing and implementing EMC strategies for Copeland’s electronic products, ensuring compliance with global standards across development stages.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement EMC strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (CISPR, IEC, FCC)
- Conduct EMC measurements, analyses and design reviews during product development to identify risks and optimize performance
- Develop and lead EMC test plans, including pre-compliance and full compliance testing for emissions, immunity and susceptibility
- Identify and resolve EMC issues via root cause analysis (grounding, shielding, filtering, crosstalk, noise coupling, PCB/layout topics)
- Define, review and maintain EMC requirements in design documents and ensure proper flow-down to subsystems
- Collaborate with hardware, software and mechanical engineers to embed EMC best practices into system designs
- Lead EMC documentation, test reports, compliance evidence and risk assessments; mentor engineers and support global project execution
- Stay up to date with evolving EMC regulations, standards and testing methodologies, applying knowledge to ongoing projects
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field
- Several years of hands-on EMC design, testing and compliance experience for electronic systems, ideally in a senior/lead role
- Strong grounding, shielding and filtering design knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of global EMC standards (CISPR, EN, IEC, FCC)
- Extensive lab experience with EMC/RF equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, LISNs, antennas, amplifiers, anechoic chambers)
- Experience with schematic and PCB layout reviews and design-for-EMC principles
- Strong independence, stakeholder management, mentoring, intercultural competence and English skills

- Familiarity with regulatory filings and compliance processes in multiple regions
