Newly Created Lead Marketing Manager – Content, Product & Brand

Are you a skilled storyteller who can take complex product concepts and turn them into compelling, market-ready narratives?

As the Lead Marketing Manager (Content, Product & Brand) at our client, you will own how our products and overarching brand are positioned, launched, and communicated to the market. You’ll serve as the primary bridge translating our deep product and subject-matter expertise into clear, engaging content that drives awareness and adoption. The client is an organization that empowers accounting and finance professionals by bringing market-leading technology and solutions to the profession. You’ll join a collaborative, forward-thinking team dedicated to making an impact through innovative branding and strategic storytelling.

In this role, you will bring messaging discipline to our product portfolio while leading standalone brand campaigns. Your initial focus will center on the company’s domain, digital campaigns, and professional services, expanding across their broader product categories over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Positioning & Go-to-Market (GTM): Own and drive GTM strategy, product positioning, and messaging frameworks starting with domain, digital campaigns, and professional services.
  • Messaging Architecture: Build and maintain product and category messaging guides. Establish a centralized, go-to repository of approved narratives, proof points, and sales assets.
  • SME & Technical Translation: Partner with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and product leaders to translate complex ideas into sharp campaign themes, web copy, sales materials, and launch assets.
  • Product Launches & Release Communications: Coordinate cross-functional launch plans across marketing, sales, product, and customer-facing teams with clear timelines, target audiences, and distribution channels.
  • Standalone Brand Campaigns: Conceptualize and execute high-impact brand awareness campaigns that extend beyond single-partner initiatives.
  • Sales & Partner Enablement: Equip sales teams, account managers, and external partners with high-converting narratives, decks, and enablement tools needed to effectively position company offerings.

Key Cross-Functional Relationships:

  • Drives: Product positioning guides, GTM briefs, category campaign themes, product release messaging, brand awareness initiatives, and sales enablement toolkits.
  • Partners With:
  • Executive Leadership: To align campaign messaging with overarching GTM strategy.
  • Product Leaders & SMEs: To gather core insights, technology highlights, and thought leadership inputs.
  • Marketing Growth Team: To execute multi-channel campaigns across web/UX, email, and digital ads while tracking performance metrics.

Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience in product marketing, content strategy, or brand marketing.
  • Messaging Mastery: Proven track record of taking technical or ambiguous product features and crafting clear, high-impact positioning.
  • Launch

Experience

  • Demonstrated success leading multi-channel product launches (web, email, enablement, paid media).
  • Exceptional Writing & Editing: Ability to produce ready-to-publish web copy, messaging frameworks, and collateral with minimal revision needed.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Natural ability to build consensus, drive alignment, and lead initiatives across teams without direct authority.
  • Experience navigating complex B2B, partner-led, or channel GTM ecosystems.
  • Background in professional services or regulated industries (e.g., accounting, finance, tax, legal, or SaaS).
  • Experience building end-to-end messaging architectures across diverse product lines.

What Success Looks Like:

  • First 90 Days: Build core messaging guides for domain, digital campaigns, and professional services; establish a centralized asset repository; and implement a structured workflow for converting SME input into market collateral.
  • First 6 Months: Successfully lead an end-to-end product launch using a unified GTM brief and rollout plan, while launching the org’s first standalone brand campaign.
  • First Year: Complete a cohesive messaging architecture across all primary product categories, establish default enablement resources for sales and partner channels, and measure brand awareness growth metrics.
