About this role
About the Role Lead Instructor for General Assembly's part-time (24-week) User Experience Bootcamp in Singapore. You will join a growing instructional team to deliver a life-changing UX education to students, adapting a global curriculum for a local cohort in a hybrid (campus and online) format. What You'll Do
- Work closely with the instructional team (co-lead instructors, instructional associates, instructor manager) to guide students through a rigorous, transformational journey.
- Adapt GA's global curriculum and build your own lesson plans as needed, sharing lessons with the broader GA instructional community.
- Facilitate a safe, supportive, and energetic learning environment that welcomes diverse abilities, needs, and learning styles.
- Deliver a blend of live instruction, instructor-led workshops, self-paced lessons, unit projects (individual and team-based), and 1:1 support.
- Oversee a capstone where student teams partner with a local startup in a pro-bono capacity (previous startups include Rently, Sojourner Brother, Managed, Omni App Solutions, Geniebook).
- Spend approximately 17 hours per week teaching (14 hours direct instruction) and contribute to mentoring and program duties.
- Note the role requires residence in Singapore and eligibility to work; GA is not sponsoring employees at this time. What We're Looking For
- 3-5+ years of experience in user experience design on a product team.
- Fluency in: the UX Process, User Research/Personas, Usability Testing, UX Analysis, Information Architecture, Interface Design, Wireframing, Prototyping, Analytics/Optimization, Mobile UX, and/or HTML/CSS.
- At least 2 years of professional experience using Figma (component libraries, design systems, high-fidelity prototypes; autolayout, components, variables, prototyping; familiarity with Figma AI, Figma slides, developer mode; real-time collaboration, developer handoff, plugins).
- Experience teaching, mentoring, and/or coaching UX designers in a professional and/or volunteer capacity (e.g., ADP List mentor).
- Priority given to applicants with the Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) from the Institute of Adult Learning Singapore.
- This role is based in Singapore and you must be authorized to work in Singapore. Nice to Have
