About this role

About the Role General Assembly is seeking a lead instructor for our full-time (12 week) User Experience Bootcamp based in Singapore. This hybrid role requires residence in Singapore with an eligible work permit or Singapore citizenship/permanent residency. GA is not sponsoring visas for this role. You will join our instructional team to help the next generation of product designers through a life-changing UX education. What You'll Do

  • Work closely with the instructional team (co-lead instructors, instructional associates, instructor manager) to guide students through a rigorous, transformational journey.
  • Become a better leader, coach, and mentor as you learn from students and the GA community.
  • Inspire and support learners as they identify their interests and drive continued learning beyond the curriculum; motivate students when they encounter challenges.
  • Adapt our global curriculum and use it to guide your teaching, building your own lesson plans as needed and sharing lessons with the GA instructional community.
  • Facilitate a safe, supportive, and energetic community that welcomes diverse abilities, needs and learning styles.
  • Commit a few hours per week preparing lessons and materials, leveraging existing GA curriculum content.
  • Collaborate with co-instructors and teaching assistants to provide a high-quality educational experience.
  • Deliver live instruction and a mix of workshops, self-paced lessons, projects, and 1:1 support to prepare learners for UX roles. What We're Looking For
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in user experience design on a product team.
  • Fluency in topics including UX Process, User Research and Personas, Usability Testing, UX Analysis, Information Architecture, Interface Design, Wireframing, Prototyping, Analytics and Optimization, Mobile UX, and HTML/CSS.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience with Figma, including component libraries/design systems, high‑fidelity prototypes; proficiency with autolayout, components, variables, prototyping; familiarity with Figma AI, slides, developer mode; strong real‑time collaboration, developer handoff, and plugins.
  • Priority given to ACLP/ACTA applicants (Institute of Adult Learning Singapore).
  • Must be based in Singapore and authorized to work in Singapore. Nice to Have
  • Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) is preferred.
