About the Role
General Assembly is seeking a Lead Instructor for its part-time (24-week) Software Engineering Bootcamp in Singapore. You will join a global instructional team to deliver a hybrid on-campus and online program that helps learners become full-stack software engineers and prepare for careers in tech. What You'll Do

Work closely with the instructional team (co-lead instructors, instructional associates, instructor manager) to guide students through a rigorous, transformational journey.

Adapt and deliver our global curriculum, creating your own lesson plans and contributing back with lessons learned.

Facilitate live instruction, provide 1:1 mentoring, and support students when they face classroom or personal challenges.

Foster a safe, supportive, and energetic learning environment that accommodates diverse abilities and learning styles.

Oversee and assess four major projects (two independent projects, one team project, and a final capstone) along with smaller projects and labs.

Help students develop workplace skills such as source control, collaboration, and modern developer workflows, preparing them to work in cross-functional teams. What We're Looking For

At least 4 years of experience on a software development team.

Fluency in HTML, CSS, and full-stack JavaScript.

Proficiency with at least one JS MV* framework (React preferred).

Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).

Familiarity with at least one additional object-oriented language (Python preferred).

Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals (recursion, sorting, searching, linked lists, trees, graphs, design patterns).

Experience with frontend and backend development and ability to teach and mentor learners.

Based in Singapore with eligible work permit or as a citizen or permanent resident; we are not sponsoring.

Ability to communicate effectively with corporate leaders and guide students through a career-focused pedagogy.
