About the Role General Assembly is seeking a Lead Instructor for our full-time (12-week) Data Analytics Bootcamp in Singapore. You will teach and mentor students, helping them develop practical data analytics skills and deliver data-driven insights to stakeholders. What You'll Do
- Teach 40 hours per week; classes on Monday through Thursday on campus, with Fridays remote; commit time to prepare lessons and materials
- Lead live instruction and guide students through a rigorous, transformational journey
- Adapt the global curriculum and create your own lesson plans; share lessons learned with the community
- Facilitate a safe, energetic community that welcomes diverse abilities and learning styles
- Demonstrate and apply data analytics using Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, and Python; oversee unit projects and labs; assess progress
- Collaborate with instructional team (co-lead instructors, instructional associates, instructor manager) to support students What We're Looking For
- Strong experience using Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI and Python Programming
- 4+ years in a role focusing on cleaning messy data, analyzing data, and presenting data-driven insights
- Proficiency with Python's pandas for data manipulation, cleaning, and aggregation
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and practical experience with supervised and unsupervised learning
- Experience with web scraping tools/techniques (e.g., BeautifulSoup)
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or training others in a professional or educational setting
- Eligible to work in Singapore; we are not sponsoring visas at this time
- Priority will be given to applicants with ACLP/ACTA from the Institute of Adult Learning Singapore Nice to Have
- Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA)
