About this role
Lead Imaging Engineer
The Team and Role: The Personal Workspace Solution group from Logitech is committed to help people create and communicate their passion and work to the world, anytime anywhere. Putting users front and center, we strive to innovate and elevate their experiences. This is more than computer mice, keyboards, webcams and presentation remotes - it’s about enabling the future beyond today's tools and in a sustainable way. Everything goes through great design and exceptional user experience conveyed in great hardware and elevated by software.
As Lead Imaging Engineer, you will be responsible for imaging/video products (Webcams and other video capable devices). You will be tasked with delivering amazing video image quality by combining image acquisition, image analysis, image quality tuning, image processing, computational photography, computer vision, AI Machine Learning and Deep Learning. You will be responsible for analyzing, designing, specifying and implementing video solutions addressing the needs of current and future generations of products in overall objective and subjective image/video quality as well as integrating them in current and future video capable products.
You will stay on top of the latest innovation in both hardware for our products (sensor, SoC, …) but also equipment required to test and validate our product. As standards for video are constantly evolving, you will monitor their evolution and identify opportunities for Logitech to retain its competitive edge.
Your Contribution:
- Applying knowhow and experience in ISP and image quality tuning for both objective criteria and subjective real life use cases.
- Devising improvement in color processing pipeline (Defective pixel correction, Color interpolation, Gamma, Denoise, Sharpness, Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, …) and automatic feedback loops (AutoExposure, AutoWhiteBalance, AutoFocus).
- Originating novel algorithms for improving video image quality in areas of noise reduction, details retention, facial enhancement, etc.
- Creating new imaging features for improving user experience of image quality by intelligent understanding of the scene by the camera.
- Implementing and optimizing algorithms utilizing image processing, computational photography, computer vision, Deep Learning, and AI techniques.
- Collaborating with team members to deliver the best cost/experience compromises.
Your theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise in imaging will be applied to all Video components of the camera system resulting in optimized and balanced performance.
