Lead HSE Auditor / Lead ISO 45001 Auditor
Overview
We’re hiring for a senior audit role to independently plan and lead audits, manage audit teams, engage senior stakeholders, identify non-conformities, and deliver high-quality audit reports across diverse industries and client environments. You will work across sectors including manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, logistics, healthcare, hospitality, financial services, warehousing, and other regulated or high-risk environments.
Technical Expertise: ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems ISO 19011 – Management System Auditing Guidelines Nigerian HSE legislation and regulatory requirements ISPON requirements and professional HSE practice Risk assessment and hierarchy of controls Emergency preparedness and fire safety Incident investigation and root-cause analysis Contractor management and Permit-to-Work systems Occupational health and environmental management HSE performance measurement and continual improvement
Requirements
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification from a recognized body
- Recognized HSE/OHS qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant HSE experience
- Demonstrable experience conducting HSE, compliance, or management-system audits
- Experience leading or supervising audit teams
- Strong understanding of workplace HSE and risk management
- Excellent audit reporting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
Additional Advantage:
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent
- ISPON qualification/membership
- ISO 14001 and/or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification
- ISO 19011 auditor training
- Fire Safety/Emergency Response certification
- Incident Investigation certification
