About the role

Job Description

We’re looking for a Lead Front-End Developer who can own our consumer-facing product experiences end to end. What we need is someone who has built polished, high-performance B2C products at a startup, knows how to ship fast without cutting corners, and can raise the bar for a growing front-end team.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Front-End Architecture Define and evolve the front-end stack, patterns, and conventions. Make decisions on state management, component design, performance strategy, and build pipelines. Build and maintain scalable, reusable components and patterns that support multiple products and use cases.
• 2. B2C Product Development Build responsive, mobile-first web applications that serve thousands of merchants and end users. Obsess over load times, interaction quality, and polish.
• 3. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a small team of front-end developers. Run code reviews, establish standards, and create an environment where engineers grow.
• 4. API Integration Work with back-end teams to design and integrate RESTful APIs. Own the contract between front end and back end.
• 5. Design Collaboration Partner with product designers to translate Figma/design specs into pixel-perfect, accessible interfaces. Contribute to and maintain a shared design system.
• 6. Quality & Testing Champion front-end testing culture using Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress. Ensure critical user flows are covered.
• 7. Performance Monitor and optimize Core Web Vitals, bundle sizes, and rendering performance. Set up tooling to catch regressions early.

• Tech Stack

• Deep expertise in the first two is non-negotiable; the rest you should be comfortable with or ready to pick up quickly.

• Must-have: Next.js, Tailwind CSS Core: React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)

• Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress (or equivalent)

• Tooling: Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Webpack/ Turbopack

• Collaboration: JIRA, Confluence, Agile/Scrum workflows

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Figma, analytics/A/B testing platforms, monorepo tooling

• Qualifications & Experience -

• B.Tech, B.E., MCA or equivalent.

• -6–8 years of hands-on front-end development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.

• -Experience working at a startup; you thrive in environments where you wear multiple hats, make trade-offs independently, and ship under ambiguity.

• -A strong portfolio of B2C products – apps or web experiences used directly by consumers or small business owners.

• -You think in systems, not just screens. You care about reusable components, consistent patterns, and maintainable codebases.

• -Excellent communication skills – you can articulate technical trade-offs to engineers, designers, and non-technical stakeholders alike.

• -A critical thinker who debugs complex issues methodically and proposes pragmatic solutions.

• -You take pride in mentoring others and building a strong engineering culture.
