About the Role Paramount Streaming is seeking a highly motivated lead engineer to join our Apple engineering team. This role focuses on delivering personalized streaming experiences for our growing mobile user base and serves as a senior technical contributor and team guide. You will work at the intersection of deep Apple platform engineering and AI-native development, leveraging daily-use AI agents and AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) and collaborating with ML and data science teams on client-facing features. What You'll Do
- Technical Leadership: Explore, evaluate, and implement new technologies to optimize development efficiency and productivity. Evaluate opportunities to bring new technical features to mobile users. Develop technical requirements documentation based on product requirements.
- Application Development: Technical development, debugging, and delivery of best-in-class tvOS and iOS native applications.
- Mentorship: Promote good business practices in a positive and constructive manner. Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features. Cultivate strong working relationships with colleagues, customers (internal and external), and company management.
- Process Improvement and Ownership: Work closely with your team to ensure the timely delivery of features and improvements. Successfully manage multiple tasks and projects in a results-driven environment. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management. What We're Looking For
- Expertise in Apple Development: Swift; iOS; tvOS; Xcode; memory management; multi-threaded programming; animations; UI design for all size-classes; RESTful APIs.
- Architecture and Experimentation: Strong problem solving and architectural skills. Experience with A/B testing, feature flagging, and client-side experimentation — including experiment assignment, holdout groups, and measuring feature impact within an existing testing framework.
- Ad Tech and ML Collaboration: Experience integrating ad-serving products into Apple applications — familiarity with ad surfaces, impression tracking, and working alongside ad tech teams in a production environment. Working familiarity with ML-driven product features — collaborate with data science teams on API contracts, signals to capture, and reason about whether issues are data, model, or rendering problems.
- Leadership and Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work well with non-technical members of the development team. Ability to assist others in a technical capacity. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic Qualifications: 7+ years of Apple development experience. Acted as a key contributor to at least one publicly released native iPhone application. Experience working with Agile development processes. Nice to Have
- BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience. Background supporting the integration of rich media assets, including video. Compensation & Benefits
