About the Role As a Lead EHS Specialist within ZF Chassis Components, LLC in Newton, NC, you will support the Newton facility and corporate functions on Environmental, Health, and Safety matters. You will develop and implement safety programs and policies to prevent accidents and promote safe work performance, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. What You'll Do
- Support the Newton facility and corporate functions for all Environmental, Health, and Safety matters.
- Develop programs for accident prevention and awareness.
- Lead the creation of safety systems, policies and procedures; develop safety campaigns, communications, recognitions; and train managers and employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental and safety regulations by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; interpreting standards; enforcing adherence to regulations; and advising management. What We're Looking For
- Experience in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) program development and implementation.
- Ability to develop safety systems, policies, procedures, safety campaigns, communications, and employee training.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations; ability to interpret standards and enforce compliance.
- Effective collaboration with leadership and strong communication to promote safe work performance.
