About the Role The Lead, Digital Print is a working lead responsible for operating digital print equipment and guiding Operator I team members on their shift. The role emphasizes productivity, quality control, and cost efficiency, while maintaining open communication with the team and other departments to ensure on-time delivery. This position is onsite in Greenville, SC and operates nights (7pm–7am) with rotating workdays and expected mandatory additional hours including weekends.
What You'll Do
- Meet print department production goals while ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery in a cost-effective manner.
- Support daily print operations by coordinating workflow, staff, and equipment to meet deadlines.
- Adhere to production schedules and manage employee time; communicate job requirements clearly.
- Train and coach team members to ensure job skill proficiency and compliance with policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement and process measures to increase productivity.
- Conduct QC checks as per SOPs, ensuring outputs meet customer expectations.
- Enforce production schedules, quality standards, and company policies across the department.
- Provide feedback on employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions per corporate guidelines.
- Prioritize workload and assist as needed to keep production on track.
- Operate, set up and troubleshoot digital print equipment for various job types; adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues.
- Set up jobs, perform routine maintenance including cleaning, calibration, minor repairs.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards; assist in meeting daily production schedules by prioritizing workload and stepping in as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of continuous work experience (preference in mail industry or print industry).
- Experience working in a team environment achieving production goals.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of USPS regulations preferred.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Respects the confidentiality of company information.
- Willingness to lead a team under supervision of Digital Print Manager.
- Ability to work nights and rotating shifts.
Nice to Have
- USPS regulations knowledge preferred (if not already listed).
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
- Additional training or certifications related to digital printing or production management.
