About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer/Lead Data Engineer/Data Engineering Specialist for Oracle + GCP to design, build, and optimize scalable, high-performance data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ETL/ELT frameworks, OIC, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and will work closely with business and technical teams to deliver reliable, secure, and analytics-ready data solutions.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement data integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), including configuration of connections, data mappings, and orchestration of complex business processes.
- API Management: Create, manage, and optimize APIs to enable secure and reliable data exchange.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Monitor integration performance, diagnose issues, and provide ongoing support to maintain data integrity.
- Collaboration: Gather requirements with business analysts and architects and translate them into technical specifications; work with cross-functional teams.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration designs, processes, and workflows.
- Best Practices: Ensure adherence to industry standards and security best practices in integration development.
- Data quality: Implement data validation, data cleansing, and data quality controls to ensure reliable datasets.
- Technical Skills: Apply hands-on experience with OIC, data modeling, SQL, Python; work with GBQ or Oracle 23ai; Airflow/Cloud Composer/OCP Scheduler; DBT.
What We're Looking For
- 10-13 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL) and tools (e.g., SQL Developer).
- Strong knowledge of at least one Oracle ERP module (Financials, Procurement, Inventory, Order Management).
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Oracle GoldenGate is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality, error-free solutions.
- Cultural awareness and ability to work in a multicultural environment across time zones.
Nice to Have
- Oracle certifications (OCP).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, automated testing).
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with OpenAI prompt engineering and Machine Learning / LLM concepts.
- Knowledge of DBT.
