Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Lead Data Engineer/Engineering Director for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a venture-backed SaaS health-tech analytics company. The company combines medicine, business, and technology. Doctor-driven at heart, they are dedicated to helping individuals find affordable medicine. Clinicians founded the company and continue to be guided by the insights from a board of leading doctors and pharmacists. They use technology to empower and educate payers and individuals. Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data platform engineering, analytics engineering, or related technical roles.

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Python, data modeling, data pipeline development, and data transformation.

• Experience building, operating, debugging, and supporting production data workflows in cloud-based environments.

• Experience with modern data platforms and orchestration tools, ideally Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, AWS, or comparable technologies.

• Strong understanding of data quality, validation, reconciliation, lineage, monitoring, alerting, and production support.

• Ability to review architecture, data models, code, workflow design, and production-readiness decisions with credibility.

• Ability to move between hands-on execution, technical leadership, cross-functional communication, and practical delivery management.

• Experience working in a lean, fast-moving company where leaders remain close to the work.

• Strong judgment around when to build, when to simplify, when to document, when to escalate, and when to push back on avoidable complexity.

• Preferred requirements

• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, payer, PBM, benefits, life sciences, financial services, or another regulated data environment.

• Experience with claims, eligibility, member, plan, pricing, utilization, engagement, attribution, or savings data.

• Direct experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, AWS, Python, SQL, Tableau, or similar technologies.

• Experience designing and supporting data pipelines for claims, eligibility, member, plan, pricing, pharmacy, recommendation, utilization, engagement, attribution, or savings data.

• Experience with DataOps practices, data contract management, schema evolution, workflow orchestration, automated validation, and production-grade data reliability.

• Experience supporting SaaS platforms, client-facing data products, enterprise integrations, reporting platforms, and operational data workflows.

• Experience working with offshore, nearshore, contractor, or partner-based engineering teams.

• Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, data privacy, secure access, auditability, and compliance-aware engineering practices.

• Experience improving documentation, ownership models, support models, and knowledge transfer in small or scaling engineering teams
