We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Lead, Credit & Risk Control

Job Purpose
- Safeguard the company’s capital
- Control the company’s leased asset base
- Ensure disciplined and risk-aligned credit approvals
- Drive proactive portfolio risk monitoring
- Maintain effective asset inspection and control
- Strengthen recovery performance and minimize credit losses

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high-quality credit risk assessment & recommendation by:
- Reviewing all credit appraisal reports before submission to management.
- Ensuring full financial analysis, risk identification, and mitigation documentation
- Chairing or participating in Credit Committee deliberations.
- Enforcing adherence to the credit policy before disbursement
- Rejecting or restructuring high-risk proposals where required
- Carry-out due diligence of all lease customers, and monitor portfolios for early risk detection by:
- Conducting routine client visitation and asset inspection
- Escalating high-risk exposures to management
- Recommending restructuring or enforcement actions and repossession where necessary.
- Ensuring all new clients complete KYC documentation before approval.
- Conducting or supervising pre-disbursement site visits.
- Verifying business existence and operational capacity.
- Validating collateral ownership and asset authenticity.
- Ensure disciplined workflow management within the credit function by:
- Maintaining comprehensive credit risk policies aligned to leasing operations
- Embedding risk appetite parameters into credit assessment processes
- Reviewing and updating policies in response to portfolio trends and market dynamics.
- Strengthen credit risk monitoring and remediation processes by:
- Implementing structured post-disbursement review frameworks
- Supervising periodic credit reviews prior to expiry dates
- Coordinating recovery and workout strategies for non-performing leases
- Any other results/responsibilities/duties/tasks/job roles that may be assigned to you by management.

Requirements
Education
- HND/Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or any related discipline
- An MBA/Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Experience
- 7-12 years of relevant experience.
