WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

We are looking for several Lead Business Consultants to join our EMEA Consulting Services team, working with our clients across the UK and the Nordics. Our client base in the region is growing, and so is the breadth of expertise our implementation projects require. Rather than hiring for one narrow profile, we are opening multiple positions for implementation specialists across the full front-to-back platform, and we will match you to the projects where your depth is strongest.

The team allows for consulting excellency, efficiency in configuration and standardization as well as knowledge sharing and collaboration across divisions and market units. As a Lead Business Consultant you are, or will become, a trusted business and technology advisor for our clients in one or more of the following areas: -- Investment accounting and financial reporting (ABOR) -- Investment book of record (IBOR), position keeping and valuation -- Investment operations, settlement and post-trade processing -- Data management, interfaces and communications (Data & Com) -- Front office: portfolio management, trading and order management -- Compliance, regulatory and internal restrictions -- Performance measurement and attribution -- Risk management (market and liquidity) -- Alternative investments and private markets -- Instrument valuation and analytics (theoretical pricing)

You will be exposed to the complete spectrum of financial instruments and their valuation, from plain vanilla equity and fixed income instruments to complex OTC derivatives and private market assets. Furthermore, you will work with all processes related to your area of specialization.

As part of your induction you will be ‘hands-on’ in our software system and attend the three-weeks’ SimCorp Dimension® Academy.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

As a Lead Business Consultant you will take over a range of tasks in a project team, such as:

• Be responsible for major parts of SimCorp implementation projects in your area of specialisation: you anticipate client needs based on your understanding of the relevant business processes at asset managers, asset owners, insurers or banks and act as a trusted advisor to the client
• Design and configure solutions across multiple modules and project streams that enable our clients to reach their desired outcomes
• Connect your specialism to the wider front-to-back solution, working closely with colleagues who cover the adjacent areas of the platform
• Advise on and improve standard implementation processes as well as product and service offerings
• Identify opportunities for growth and explore new ideas, feeding this back to the organisation and supporting its development
• Participate in sales processes when required to position SimCorp concepts and offerings
• Instruct and mentor less experienced colleagues on the job and share knowledge with colleagues on an international level

WHAT WE VALUE

You like to deep dive into business processes in investment management and enjoy modelling them in our software. You have in-depth knowledge about the business at asset managers, fund managers, insurers or banks. In addition you bring with you:

• Degree in economics, finance, mathematics, computer science or similar qualification
• Previous experience as an Analyst or (Implementation) Consultant for asset managers, asset owners, banks or consulting firms
• FRM, CFA, CIPM or other relevant certifications/designations are desirable
• Team spirit and a desire to share your knowledge
• High communication and consulting skills
• High degree of commercial awareness, customer orientation and quality consciousness
• Fluency in English
• Readiness to travel
