Bulk Water Supply System Design

The candidate should possess strong experience in the planning, design, and execution of bulk water supply infrastructure, including:

• Conceptual and hydraulic design of water supply systems, covering pipeline sizing, flow calculations, pump stations, reservoirs, and water storage tanks.
• Detailed engineering and execution design for water infrastructure projects, including construction drawings, technical specifications, equipment schedules, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
• Experience working with piping systems such as GRP, PVC, HDPE, and PE pipelines.

Mandatory Technical Expertise

• Autodesk Civil 3D (Must Have): Proven hands-on experience in pipeline profile/L-section development, corridor modeling, and site grading using Civil 3D. Experience limited to AutoCAD or GIS platforms alone will not be considered sufficient.
• GRP Pipeline Systems (Must Have): Strong practical experience in GRP pipeline design, installation, testing, and commissioning, with a sound understanding of industry standards and installation practices.
• Civil Engineering Design & Estimation: Experience in preparing detailed civil engineering designs, quantity take-offs, and BOQs for:
• Earthworks and site development
• Reservoirs and canals
• Irrigation structures and valve chambers
• Concrete structures such as slabs, thrust blocks, and related civil works
• Design Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of:
• Autodesk Civil 3D
• AutoCAD
• WaterGEMS / EPANET
• IrriCAD or equivalent hydraulic and irrigation design software
• Industry Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the design and implementation of civil infrastructure and water supply projects.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills

• Experience in irrigation system design, including drip and sprinkler irrigation networks.
• Familiarity with land surveying, GIS platforms, and geospatial data management.
• Ability to present technical solutions and engineering proposals to customers and stakeholders in India and international markets.
• Strong multitasking and project coordination capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight schedules and project deadlines.

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / M.E. in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Practical site experience in the installation, supervision, and execution of civil infrastructure and water supply projects will be a distinct advantage.
• Prior team leadership or people management experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project data and define design parameters for water supply and irrigation systems, ensuring efficient operation and long-term maintainability.

• Design complete water supply and irrigation systems using approved engineering methodologies, software tools, and organizational design standards.

• Develop detailed site development, grading, and earthwork plans using designated design software.

• Collaborate closely with Designers, Team Leaders, Project Engineers, and Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development through final design.

• Review and supervise engineering drawings and design outputs to support both bid preparation and project execution activities.

• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and engineering specifications to support sales, tendering, and implementation teams.

• Develop comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and material take-offs for project proposals and execution.

• Provide technical support during project implementation, including domestic and international travel when required.
