Job title: Lead Artist
About the Role Lead Artist to conceive, create and lead the team in delivering innovative artistic visuals for AAA titles. Based at our Edinburgh studio, you'll work onsite and drive creative direction, production quality and collaboration with internal and external teams to create outstanding experiences.
What You'll Do
- Conceive, create and lead the team's art direction across multiple projects for AAA titles
- Collaborate with internal and external teams, presenting visuals to clients in a professional manner
- Manage resources, deadlines and budgets, assigning artists with diverse skill sets
- Mentor and motivate artists, fostering a collaborative and ambitious studio culture
- Develop and implement solid art production pathways, ensuring timely delivery
- Explore and implement cutting-edge artistic techniques and tools into production practice
- Ensure high-quality visual results and consistency across styles and platforms
What We're Looking For
- At least 6+ years of experience in console development with at least 2 shipped titles and at least one as a Lead Artist
- Strong visual and verbal communication skills for directing teams and presenting to clients
- Excellent resource management, judgement, and ability to assign artists to projects
- Self-motivated, outgoing team leader with attention to detail and passion for delivering great games
- Autonomous in managing deadlines and budgets with excellent time management
- Experience managing art teams effectively and on schedule
- 2-3 years experience developing and implementing solid art production pathways
- Creative problem-solving abilities and risk assessment skills
- Understanding of cutting-edge artistic techniques and tools and ability to apply them in practice
- Portfolio or CV demonstrating art abilities.
