Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Lead Application Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina, Costa Rica and Mexico. Our client is a leading global toy manufacturer with an award-winning, robust portfolio of wholly owned and licensed brands. Founded in 1997, the company celebrates imaginative play with a progressive focus on identifying emerging trends and turning them into high-quality products for consumers of all ages. It engages consumers through innovative play experiences with popular brands. In addition to toys, offerings include Metaverse gaming, costumes, and pet products. The client has an internal IT department of approximately 25–28 people. The team covers a broad range of functions, including ERP, Platform Engineering, Software Development, Database Administration, EDI, Reporting & Business Intelligence, DevOps/Cloud Engineering, and Web Development.

As a Lead Application Developer for the client, the role will be responsible for Application enhancements, testing and leading junior developers of team. Manage lifecycle of applications in the application portfolio from initial release to its final retirement. Will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all applications enhancement requests are prioritized, requirements documents, architecture and security standards are met.

Their technology landscape includes Sage X3 ERP, Shopify (B2B and D2C), Workato integrations, AWS, SQL Server, Jira, Zendesk, and a number of internally developed applications. The business operates across the United States, Australia, and the UK/European markets.

Requirements

• 10+ years experience with ERP Development and Support on X3 for minimum of 5 years. other Enterprise Application administration and enhancement experience (i.e. WMS, PIM, CRM etc.)
• 10+ Years Expertise in working with business stakeholders on gathering requirements, prioritizing enhancements requests, design, development and implement enhancements
• 12+ years of Application Development experience
• 4+ Knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLA) for Applications, .
• 5+ Application development methodology (Waterfall or Agile) expertise.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Technical leadership on ERP projects mentoring junior resources and and vendors on solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand user needs; drafts initial proposals and designs of applications to meet these needs.
• Assesses feasibility of design in accordance with security and architectural guidelines
• Develops code and designs applications based on user specifications.
• Modifies existing applications to correct errors or improve performance.
• Monitors and assists with application testing and validation procedures and programming.
• Monitors and assists with application installation; ensures applications operate within established specifications.
• Gathers and evaluates user feedback and modifies applications for better usability.
• Designs databases for specific applications.
• Determines required system performance standards and hardware configurations based on client specifications, budget, security needs, and other parameters.
• Collaborates with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems to support applications.
• Advises on application maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Nice to have:

• 2 years of Systems Architecture experience preferred.

• 2 years Application and Data Integration pattern understanding (API, ETL, ELT etc.) DevOps

• Continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) experience preferred.
