About the Role The Lead Analyst role sits within EY's Risk Management Services (RMS) Independence team of EY Global Delivery Services (GDS). You will help protect EY’s independence by developing knowledge of Independence concepts, executing procedures per the EYG Independence policies, and supporting audit and pursuit teams to mitigate independence-related risks. You will work closely with global teams to strengthen our compliance framework and enable client service through subject matter expertise. What You'll Do
- Develop working knowledge of firm-level Independence concepts and interpret client structures, entity attributes, and relationships in accordance with EYG Independence policy.
- Build knowledge of internal Independence tools and systems; understand interdependencies between systems to identify discrepancies and harmonize information.
- Perform and review reconciliation, research, and recommendations produced as part of procedures by Associate Analysts/Analysts within the team; update EY tools and databases.
- Communicate with senior team members from audit/pursuit teams to resolve queries and gather information; become a subject matter expert in Independence processes.
- Lead knowledge calibration sessions addressing process-related questions from team members; contribute to continuous improvement and client enablement.
- Assist client-serving teams in maintaining EY’s Independence for existing and prospective audit/non-audit clients as part of RMS.
- Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to strengthen the compliance framework and foster a mindset of continuous improvement. What We're Looking For
- Senior associate/Lead Analyst with the ability to quickly develop good working knowledge of firm Independence concepts and policies; capable of performing procedures per EYG Independence policies with hands-on research/analysis and tool updates.
- Strong communication skills to interact with senior audit/pursuit teams to resolve queries and gather information; willingness to become a subject matter expert in Independence processes.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret client structures, entity attributes and relationships per EYG policy; ability to navigate multiple internal tools and systems.
- Aptitude to understand interdependencies between systems, identify discrepancies, and reconcile data across tools.
- Ability to perform, review, and synthesize research and recommendations; build credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfortable working with global teams; proactive about knowledge sharing and process improvements.
