Job title: Lead Airframe & Powerplant Technician (2nd Shift)
About the Role Lead Airframe & Powerplant Technician (2nd Shift) at Learjet Inc, based in the Dallas Love Field service center. Support Bombardier Learjet aircraft with hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting and inspection responsibilities to ensure safe, reliable aircraft for customers.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft
- Perform and document work per appropriate manuals and regulations
- Perform mechanical / electrical removals and installations
- Assist with maintenance at off-site locations and with other maintenance disciplines
- Assist with fuel and / or de-fuel of aircraft
- Assist in providing time estimates and in creating service orders with SAP or applicable operating systems
- Assist in performing complex repairs on aircraft systems and may assist with engine and / or APU runs as required
- Train, coach and support other employees; may perform Delegated Inspector (DI) function as qualified by QA
- May assist with completing engine and / or APU runs as required
- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements and Environmental / Health / Safety policies; participate in 5-S activities
- May contribute to off-site maintenance activities and support continuous improvement on the shop floor
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 8 years of aircraft maintenance experience or substantiated equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ corporate / commercial jet experience
- Minimum of 1 year Bombardier aircraft model experience
- Engine Run & Taxi qualified on Bombardier Aircraft or Delegated Inspector eligible
- Demonstrated leadership ability and strong planning / organization skills
- Familiar with all systems installations of Bombardier aircraft model
- Committed to safety, quality and regulatory compliance
- Able to work 2nd shift and thrive in a fast-paced repair environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAP or similar service-order systems
- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role
