Job title: LCV Technician
About the Role A skilled and experienced technician is needed to join our Light Commercial Vehicle workshop. The role supports servicing, repairing and maintaining EV and ICE vans within a close-knit team at our Bellshill site, part of Volvo Group's UK network.
What You'll Do
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Diagnose faults accurately using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology
- Prepare vehicles for MOTs and conduct thorough safety inspections
- Work to high standards that meet manufacturer and VOSA requirements
- Communicate effectively with the Shift Supervisor to ensure clarity on job specifications and timeframes
- Complete all required documentation and follow company processes
What We're Looking For
- A skilled and experienced technician with a background in servicing, repairing, and maintaining vans in a commercial vehicle environment
- Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, take initiative, and thrive as part of a team
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- An HGV licence would be an advantage or something you're willing to work towards with our support
Nice to Have
- Experience with electric vehicles (EV) and low-emission vans is desirable
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: £16.50–£18.00 per hour, depending on experience
- 30 days holiday (including Bank Holidays), rising to 33 days after 5 years
