About the Role
Join the laundry operations team supporting Berks Heim Nursing & Rehabilitation in Leesport, PA. The Laundry Operator performs laundry work under minimal supervision, operating machines, distributing linens, and maintaining records to support resident care and facility operations.
What You'll Do
- Operates all laundry machinery including washers, dryers, scale, and on occasion County vehicles.
- Responsible for counting and properly distributing linen for delivery.
- Delivery of personal clothing to the residents' rooms; hangs garments in closets and places bagged items in drawers.
- Performs related laundry tasks as required; may maintain laundry facility records.
- May drive County vehicles when required.
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old with fluent reading, writing, and understanding of the English language; ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Experience in laundry work and operation of laundry equipment preferred.
- Valid PA driver's license required to operate County vehicles.
- Computer experience is helpful.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to push/pull carts; ability to tolerate extreme heat and handle stress; physical presence at the facility.
