Job title: Laundry and Linen Attendant
About the Role The Laundry and Linen Attendant ensures the timely delivery of linen to ancillary and patient care areas and manages inventory received from the contract linen company to support hospital operations.
What You'll Do
- Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and reports suspected violations.
- Disburses linen to ancillary and patient care areas daily.
- Maintains adequate linen inventory in patient care and ancillary areas on a daily basis.
- Maintains accurate itemized inventory records and completes laundry forms.
- Answers and responds to linen calls within the hospital.
- Cleans, maintains, and replenishes linen exchange carts in an orderly manner.
- Unloads daily linen delivery from contract company carts to the linen room.
- Maintains scrub pars for patient care areas daily.
- Pulls rejected linen from patient and ancillary care areas.
- Maintains a clean linen storage area per regulatory standards.
- Uses material handling equipment to prevent injury to self or others.
- Communicates with contract linen company driver regarding shortages or overages.
- Complies with Title 22 and DHS regulations in regard to the safe handling and distribution of patient care items.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Basic Math skills necessary.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good communication skills; teamwork philosophy.
- Ability to adhere to compliance and safety standards.
Nice to Have
- Some previous housekeeping/janitorial experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $18.63 - $27.17 per hour.
