Job title: Latinx Institute Student Assistant
About the Role This is a part-time, remote work-study position supporting Antioch University's Latinx Mental Health and Social Justice Institute. The role focuses on expanding the Institute's reach and impact through social media, website content, administrative tasks, and collaboration with institute partners to advance the Latinx community's well-being and justice goals.
What You'll Do
- Attend weekly meetings with the supervisor (1–2 hours) and participate in collaborating working meetings with other institute members as needed (1–2 hours).
- Manage social media and content search/delivery (5–10 hours).
- Support marketing efforts (5–10 hours).
- Engage or lead institute projects/initiatives such as service, community engagement, and collaborations (5–15 hours).
- Support the organization of the annual symposium (5–15 hours).
- If proficient in Spanish, create/translate content into Spanish for various materials (5–20 hours).
- Collaborate with the Latinx team to achieve Institute goals and mission and support activities and partner coordination.
What We're Looking For
- Interest in the Latinx community and commitment to well-being and social justice.
- Organized with familiarity with various social media outlets; strong administrative skills (e.g., creating tables, graphs, PowerPoint presentations, Canva announcements).
- Ability to take initiative and work toward institute goals.
- Experience with event organization; Spanish skills are preferred.
Nice to Have
- Spanish language skills (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Part-time Work Study position: 20 hours per week (remote).
- Start date: 2026-07-01; End date: 2027-06-30.
- 100% remote work; flexible scheduling via weekly supervisor meetings and biweekly submitted work.
