About the Role The Latinx Mental Health and Social Justice Institute at Antioch University seeks a student to support communications, administrative tasks, and partner relations as a remote Work Study role. The position focuses on expanding the Institute's social media and website content, coordinating activities, and supporting the annual symposium to advance the Latinx community's well-being and social justice goals.
What You'll Do
- Participate in regular (1-2 hours) weekly meetings with the supervisor and collaborate with Institute members (1-2 hours as needed).
- Manage social media and website content delivery (5-10 hours).
- Assist with marketing efforts (5-10 hours).
- Engage or lead Institute projects/initiatives such as service, community engagement, and collaborations (5-15 hours).
- Support the organization of the annual symposium (5-15 hours).
- If proficient in Spanish, translate or create content in Spanish (5-20 hours).
What We're Looking For
- Interest in and understanding of the Latinx community; commitment to well-being and social justice issues affecting the community.
- Organized, familiar with various social media outlets, and able to perform administrative tasks (e.g., creating tables, graphs, PowerPoints, Canva announcements) with initiative to meet Institute goals.
- Experience in organizing events; Spanish language skills preferred.
Nice to Have
- Spanish language skills; prior event organization experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary not disclosed; compensation aligned with Antioch University Work Study.
