Job title: Lathe Operator
About the Role As a CNC Lathe Operator at ANDRITZ, you’ll initiate machining processes, select tooling, and set feeds and speeds for various materials under supervision. This onsite role in Chesterton, IN supports production in the metals processing area by operating CNC lathes and ensuring safety and efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Maintain production rates according to established standards.
- Notify Supervisor with any problems of procedures or equipment.
- Perform set-ups and operate CNC Lathe Machine.
- Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
- Maintain high awareness of safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years experience operating CNC lathes.
- Capable of using a micrometer, calipers, and hand tools.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Can read and edit G-code programming.
- Skilled on an overhead crane.
- Physical ability: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
