About the Role AoPS Academy is seeking a Part-Time Language Arts Instructor to teach advanced students in a small-class setting using company-created curriculum. This role is based in our Bellevue, WA location and focuses on fostering engagement, critical thinking, and a love of language arts. What You'll Do
- Teach engaging curriculum using company-created materials designed for advanced students to lead small language arts classes.
- Actively engage students in class and support student-led learning.
- Manage a classroom of up to 16 students.
- Grade tests and assignments and provide constructive feedback.
- Build relationships with students and families to support their educational journey.
- Inspire learning and critical thinking in language arts. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in education or humanities strongly preferred.
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and/or grammar.
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level preferred.
- Experience teaching or tutoring students.
- A formal teaching credential is not required. Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $37.00 - $37.25 per hour.
