Job title: Lactation Consultant
About the Role Could you be our next Lactation Consultant at Paoli Hospital? This role involves educating and supporting new mothers during an inpatient stay and continuing follow-up by calling patients within a month of discharge. You will serve as an Educator/Consultant to nurses and other healthcare professionals within the Women’s and Children service line.
What You'll Do
- Educate and support new moms during inpatient stay.
- Follow up with patients within 30 days post-discharge to ensure needs are met.
- Educate and consult with nurses and other healthcare professionals on lactation best practices.
- Participate in hospital and system-wide Nursing Committees.
- Work Day/Evening shifts with a minimum of 24 hours per 6-week scheduling period, including weekend coverage (12 hours on weekends). Weekend shifts begin Saturday 0700 and end Monday 0730. Holidays rotation based on need.
What We're Looking For
- IBCLC certification required.
- RN license preferred (or Nursing Licensure Compact) or multi-state license verified in approved states.
- Minimum of 2 years healthcare experience; 1+ year lactation experience in acute care preferred.
- Knowledge of fetal, newborn, and maternal anatomy/physiology.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $31.50 - $48.80 per hour.
