About the Role As a Fiber Optics Laboratory Engineer (Laboringenieur Optik) at TRUMPF, you will plan, execute, and analyze tests on fiber laser experiments. You will own the test chain from concept to result interpretation, maintain and evolve a fiber-laser lab, and guide technical projects across development stages from concept to product introduction. You will work in an interactive, international team and communicate confidently in German and English. What You'll Do
- Plan, conduct, and analyze comprehensive tests on fiber laser experiments; manage the end-to-end test chain from concept to results.
- Act as the subject-matter expert for a fiber-laser laboratory, maintaining operations and driving its development forward.
- Guide technical projects from concept development to product introduction, applying your expertise in all phases of the development process.
- Collaborate in an interactive, international team and communicate confidently in German and English.
- Travel occasionally (~10%). What We're Looking For
- A successfully completed degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering.
- Practical experience with fiber components and splicing techniques; knowledge in fiber lasers is a plus.
- Fluent communication in German and English for international exchanges.
- Enjoy working in an interactive, international team and an independent, proactive work style.
- Willingness to travel about 10% of the time. Nice to Have
