Job title: Laboratory Technician
About the Role ALS Oil & Lubricants in Canning Vale provides testing analysis to ensure optimal fluid health for client equipment. We are building a talent pool for Laboratory Technicians to join our team. This Full-Time role operates on 8-hour shifts in a small team within our NATA-accredited oil analysis laboratory, analyzing oil, coolant, fuel and grease samples. Full training will be provided through an incremental structured program.
What You'll Do
- Labelling and unpacking samples
- Sample registration
- Routine sample testing including ICP-OES, FTIR, Viscosity, Particle Counting, Colour analysis, Acid-base titrations, Karl Fischer Titrations
- Basic equipment calibration
- Work as part of a team comprised of laboratory technicians, technical support staff and leadership
- Housekeeping duties as required
- Work to safety guidelines according to policies and procedures
- Ability to move and lift racks and boxes in the 5-10kg range

- Great attention to detail
- Willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required
- Previous experience using a LIMS would be desirable but not essential
- Cert IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or similar is advantageous
Nice to Have
- Experience in an accredited laboratory environment (NATA) is advantageous
- Familiarity with oil analysis testing workflows and safety culture
