About the Role Hoxworth Blood Center (HBC), part of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, is recruiting for a full-time Laboratory Assistant to assist the Components Manufacturing Laboratory personnel with laboratory testing preparation and other related work. The incumbent will be trained on the first shift, then assigned to the second shift after training is completed. Second shift includes: Monday-Friday, 3:30 pm-12:00 am, with rotating weekends; Saturday 12:00 pm-8:30 pm. This role supports UC's lifesaving mission and requires attention to detail in a laboratory setting. What You'll Do
- Assist with laboratory testing preparation and other related work, including assembling various specimen kits for analyses.
- Prepare specimen collection outfits for various lab tests.
- Assist with receiving and sorting blood samples.
