Der Beruf Laborant/in Fachrichtung Chemie wird in zwei Fachbereiche eingeteilt:
Synthese
Aus zwei oder mehreren Ausgangsstoffen stellst Du, bei uns in der Bachem AG, eine Vielfalt an neuen Peptiden, Aminosäurederivaten und anderen organischen Substanzen und Verbindungen her. Laboranten berechnen die Mengen der einzusetzenden Ausgangsstoffe und lassen sie miteinander reagieren. Aus dem Reaktionsgemisch isolieren sie das gewünschte Produkt und reinigen anschliessend das erhaltene Rohprodukt. Die so hergestellten Substanzen werden von ihnen auf Menge, Qualität und Zusammensetzung analysiert. Im Lehrgang mit Schwerpunkt Synthese wird ein besonderer Wert auf die Herstellung von Substanzen gelegt.
