Job title: Labor Representative (Los Angeles)
About the Role Join CNA/NNOC as a Labor Representative serving nurses in Southern California, focused on building a movement for healthcare justice and empowering nurses through organizing, bargaining, and leadership development.
What You'll Do
- Manage all matters related to collective bargaining, including organizing nurses in private and public employment
- Compile, analyze, interpret, and present pertinent data to support negotiations and issues
- Assist with contract negotiations and contribute to arbitration processes
- Process grievances and conduct arbitrations
- Represent nurses in employment-related problems
- Organize campaigns and mobilize members
- Build strong workplace committees and develop local leadership
- Educate members about alternatives to corporate control of health care
- Help expand health care as a human right and address racial/ethnic disparities in health outcomes
- Mobilize members to respond to attacks on nurses and healthcare
What We're Looking For
- Creative methods of addressing workplace issues to build power
- Experience with Collective Bargaining
- Ability to compile, analyze, interpret and present data
- Grievance and Arbitration experience
- Organizing campaigns
- Insatiable work ethic and drive to create systemic change
- Prior experience as a full-time Labor Representative a plus
- Ability to develop rank-and-file leadership
- Driver's license and insured car required

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: USD 70,332 – 188,796 per year
