Labor Compliance Analyst (Contract Hybrid)

Robert Half HR Solutions is currently sourcing for a contract Labor Compliance Analyst for our client located in Doraville GA area to support workforce data integrity, compliance reviews, and reporting activities. This role focuses on analyzing HR, payroll, and timekeeping information to identify risks, investigate discrepancies, and provide clear recommendations that help business leaders make informed decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong HRIS and Workday knowledge, sound judgment in compliance-related matters, and the ability to communicate findings effectively across cross-functional teams. This role is on-site 2 days a week, Tuesday/Wednesday and is remote the other 3 days of the week. These in-office days are not negotiable. Our client also requires superior Excel skills in this role, along with oral presentation capabilities.

The hours for this role must support PST - the start time for this role will be about 10:00AM - 7:00PM EST to accommodate West Coast client needs

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews of workforce, payroll, timekeeping, and HR data by defining an appropriate audit approach based on risk exposure, available records, and compliance standards.

• Examine discrepancies and irregularities in employee data, assess incomplete or conflicting details, and determine underlying causes for moderately complex compliance issues.

• Interpret policies, regulatory expectations, and operating procedures to evaluate findings, recognize recurring patterns, and identify situations that require escalation or specialized review.

• Prepare concise reports, dashboards, metrics, and risk summaries that support decision-making for Human Resources, Payroll, Compliance, Legal, and business leadership.

• Recommend practical corrective actions that align with policy requirements and operational needs, then track follow-up efforts to confirm issues have been resolved effectively.

• Lead assigned compliance reviews and smaller-scale initiatives by organizing work plans, coordinating with key stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

• Provide guidance to managers, employees, HR, Payroll, Compliance, and Legal teams regarding review outcomes, applicable requirements, and recommended next steps.

• Maintain responsive communication and dependable support while contributing to additional duties as needed.

• Use HRIS and Workday tools to analyze employee records, validate data accuracy, and strengthen compliance reporting processes.

• Experience working as a Labor Compliance Analyst or in a related role supporting HR, payroll, workforce data, or compliance functions.

• Hands-on knowledge of HRIS platforms, including strong proficiency with Workday, Workday HCM, or related HR systems.

• Ability to analyze HR, payroll, and timekeeping data, identify inconsistencies, and develop well-supported conclusions.

• Familiarity with compliance management, compliance reporting, and controls related to employee records and labor practices.

• Strong reporting and dashboard skills with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Understanding of employee relations, labor-related data, and HR operational processes.

• Ability to manage multiple reviews or projects independently while maintaining accuracy, organization, and follow-through
