About the Role Join the site R&D team in Lewisburg, OH as the Lab Management Lead within Mars’ Quality & Food Safety Function. The role leads a team of lab technicians and implements effective laboratory management processes to ensure efficient service delivery while maintaining quality control and regulatory compliance. What You'll Do
- Establish, follow and continuously improve the quality system in the lab.
- Manage routine testing activities for base and finished products, incoming raw materials, packaging materials checks, and sensory evaluation, etc.
- Manage external laboratory testing and communicate with GAIT and regional labs.
- Ensure transfer and validation of test equipment and test methods.
- Implement SOPs and GLPs to ensure reliability and compliance to standards.
- Work with the supplier management team to ensure material quality and follow up CAPAs.
- Maintain EHS working conditions and practices in the assigned area. What We're Looking For
- BSc in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent; MSc degree preferred.
- Experience in quality assurance or lab management from Food/Nutritional/Pharmaceutical or related manufacturing/testing sites.
- Experience in analytical or microbiology testing; knowledge and experience of GMP, GLP and audits.
- People management experience. Nice to Have
